  We live very locally and have eaten here perhaps once a month for almost ten years. Have never had a bad experience like Mr Lawrence below - statistically, he was clearly very unlucky ! When they are busy, service is not super fast I should say - but we've never waited an hour between courses. The speed thing though is precisely because it is a proper restaurant, not a fast food joint. Dishes are freshly cooked - I guess unless it is a long-cooked casserole type dish. I find the atmosphere fine, its a stripped pine floorboards place, a little minimalist perhaps, no flock wallpaper or fake Indian statues, so that might not suit some people. But the key point is the food is several notches above typical local Indian restaurants - the specials in particular have more in common with the top Michelin starred type Indian restaurants in London than they do with the usual curry-house stuff. Highly recommended - I'm taking three important clients there tonight from one of the biggest IT firms in the world so hope it lives up to this review!
